Authentic Leadership

Authentic Leadership

Authentic leadership consists of three pillars: (1) Authentic presence, i.e., the choice to take personal responsibility for who we are; (2) Skillful communication, including self-disclosure, inquiry and conflict resolution based on emotional competencies; and (3) Effective action motivated by service that is compassionate and empathetic. Authenticity is choosing moment-to-moment to be completely present to the situation and to synchronize mind, body, and communication in all interactions.

Integral Theory

Ken Wilber’s Integral Theory

Consider different perspectives and dimensions of the world. The all quadrant, all lines model (AQAL).

Integral Ecology

Integral ecologists build bridges between fragmented domains, methods, and perspectives, especially in the context of specific environmental issues.

Integral and Transpersonal Psychology

Transpersonal psychology is an approach to psychology that 1) studies phenomena beyond the ego as context for 2) an integrative/holistic psychology. This provides a framework for 3) understanding and cultivating human transformation (Hartelius et al., 2013).

Hartelius, G., Rothe, G., & Roy, P. J. (2013). A brand from the burning: Defining transpersonal psychology. In H. L. Friedman & G. Hartelius (Eds.), The Wiley-Blackwell handbook of transpersonal psychology (1st ed., pp. 3–22). Malden, MA: Wiley & Sons.

Environmentalism as a vast, global movement. We are living in a time when both the Earth and humans seem to be crying out from suffering degradation. Ecopsychology is the emerging synthesis of the psychological and the ecological.
